Listening to one of my podcast and I heard a guy on Tech Guy a gentleman that has a podshow called, "
unsignedrockshow" for getting indie musicians and unsigned musicians out there and it's on every tuesday. Looks pretty cool. I love music and I want to help the music community out as much as possible.
I know, I know I haven't posted new music from my library in a while and I apologize for that. I have been so busy and I hope this will change pretty soon and I have been under the weather. Trying to get myself organized and trying to cut out TV in my life. Here are a couple of tunes for a quick fix for you today.
Enjoy

Scott Cossu playing can be soothing, jazzy, calming. His piano/keyboard playing is truly remarkable. I have to admit, I do not own any of his albums, just what is on my samplers which in shameful on my part because I have heard enough of his material to go out and buy his work. The two track here are really wonderful and I will make it my mission to buy some of his material this year. Even on the Windham Hill Concert he plays only one track which is a bummer; but hey I have these compositions from Mr. Cossu to show his talent.
Enjoy.
If anyone have read my other blog you would know this is one of my favorite groups. Chieli Minucci and the late George Jinda was to me one of the best jazz fusion duos out there in the 80s-90s. Special EFX
is a group I can not get enough of because of their blend of the
electric/acoustic guitar and percussions. One of the first song I ever
heard from them was The Flow and it blew me away. This was back
in the early 90s while working as a stocker at Ann Taylor. The first
chance I got when I got paid was to go to Camelot Records and buy this
album, Slice of Life. What was really cool was not only was I introduced to these two gifted musicians but I also had a chance to learn about Dave Weckel, Dennis Chambers, Mark Egan, Bemshi
and so many other musicians so I can share them with you my wonderful
Vox neighbors (this is why it pays to read liner notes ladies and
gentleman
)
I
had a hard time picking these tunes because while I was choosing
another would pop on and I'm like, "ooooh, I have to post THIS ONE!" I
think in the near future I will devote an entire weekend just to their
music alone so you can see how good these two were together.
